Welcome to Elan2Life

This is the official web site of the Elan2Life project. On this site you will  find the latest information on Elan2Life, as well as ways to contact the people behind this project and links to other sources of Elan2Life-related information.  The project  acronym Elan2Life stands for “Europe-Latin America Network for boosting international cooperation in the field of Life Sciences” (Contract N° LSSM-CT -2005-018809).

What is Elan2Life?

Elan2Life is a Specific Support Action within the thematic priority “Life Sciences, genomics and biotechnology for health”  of the 6th Framework Programme of the European Commission. The Elan2Life project brought together 9 academic and industrial institutions from 8 European (EU) and Latin American (LA) countries for a period of two and a half years starting in January 2006. The consortium aimed to stimulate international EU-LA cooperation in the field of Life Sciences/Health in various frameworks by stimulating in this region the creation of regional information nodes able to raise  public awareness of cooperative opportunities, support partnering, and facilitate the inclusion of research teams from LA&C into European consortia under FP7.
While Elan2Life has officially come to an end in June 2008, we are still actively promoting EU-LA cooperation in the HEALTH area. Please feel free to contact us.
